Three weeks ago, Rivers of Ice: Vanishing Glaciers of the Greater Himalaya opened at Asia Society Museum. We have had a short but great run, which garnered much media attention and hopefully got people thinking about the consequences of climate change on the “third pole.” I produced two videos on display in the exhibition and this video interview with the photographer David Breashears:
I am not sure how museum staffers deal with the constant turn over of exhibitions. To work so hard on something only to see it all disappear a month or two later is tough. I definitely expect to sniffle a bit as I watch the photographs come off the wall next week.
